Full propane tank, no gas flow?
« on: 09/07/13 19:08:40 »
I just have a quick question. I went got new propane tanks, one for the SRG and one for the RED. Hooked up the SRG, opened the tank, then turned it to high, no gas flow. You can hear it once you turn the knob to high to light the grill. I even tried the other tank, nothing. Any ideas on what to check? I hooked them up on the RED, gas flow, and lights right up. Thanks for the help. John

Try removing the gas line at the tank--then reconnect it.   That USUALLY does the trick.  IF that doesn't work, some of the other "experts" on here can probably help you.   Right, people?

Tanks have a safety feature that gets activated.  It can help to reset it by disconnecting it and letting it settle.  When opening the valve, Charbroil says to open it slowly.  I assume this is to avoid triggering the safety.
