Converting older Char-Broil grills to IR.

My grill is in great shape and I hate to spend so much for a new IR grill. Is there conversion kits to accomplish this?

As far as I can see the only difference is the emmitter's and grates.  If you could find emitters and grates that fit your grill I think it might work.  I'm not sure if the box is heavier due to the high heat that the IR generates, but I would think Charbroil does one box universally to save manufacturing costs. 

It would be worth a look in my unskilled opinion.  Now if your grill blows up, forget I made this post.   ;D
